WOOLFOLK SCHOOL STRATEGIC PLAN 2025-2030

Mission of the 精东影业 Woolfolk School CSD Program

  • to prepare graduate students for successful careers in speech-language pathology
  • to prepare undergraduate students with a knowledge of communication sciences and disorders in preparation for graduate school or for related careers in allied health and education fields
  • to provide evidence-based services to individuals with communication and swallowing disorders
  • to engage in scholarly activity in the field of communication sciences and disorders

This CSD mission statement is developed from the 精东影业 mission statement:

Founded and sponsored by the Sisters of Divine Providence, Our Lady of the Lake University is a Catholic, Hispanic-serving, inclusive learning community. Through quality, innovative undergraduate and graduate education, we foster spiritual, personal, and professional growth. Our graduates are prepared for purposeful lives and service to humanity.

The Woolfolk School aims to provide a quality program that supports, in numerous ways, learning experiences to create successful speech-language pathologists who will be dedicated to serving diverse clients in an inclusive and equitable manner and clients with communication and swallowing needs using the most current scientific evidence. The program will contribute to knowledge in the field through scholarship and research opportunities with students.

The Woolfolk School CSD Strategic Plan is based on the goals of the 精东影业 strategic plan:

Woolfolk School CSD Goal 1: Continue excellence in education

Objective 1: The Woolfolk School M.A. program will continue to meet current accreditation standards set by the ASHA Council of Academic Accreditation (CAA).
Measurement: The CAA annual accreditation report will be approved each year.

Objective 2: The Woolfolk School will continually provide quality academic and clinical education demonstrating sufficient knowledge and skills in speech-language pathology.
Measurement: Graduation rates will be met at 80% or greater.

Woolfolk School CSD Goal 2: Patient care and community engagement

Objective 1: Require exposure to a variety of clinical experiences for students.
Measurement: All BA students will participate in service learning and guided observation of assessment and treatment.
Measurement: All MA students will participate in direct assessment and treatment as part of their clinical practicum.
Measurement: All SLPD students will provide service to the community through supervision of MA clinician practicum experiences.

Objective 2: Maintain client satisfaction.
Measurement: Client satisfaction surveys will reflect Jersig services at 80% satisfaction.
